Tutorial - Set up your book

Here we explain you, how you create a new book.

Note: If you stay with your cursor on the underlined words, you will get an image about the described option.

Set up a new book

After you have started , a wizard will help you creating your book.

Update-Method

First of all you are asked about the prospective update method. Here you are able to select one of the following options:

"Manual update"
"Automatic update"
"Updates disabled"

We recommend to do updates periodically, so that the book types and the prices in the book designer are up-to-date.

Select operation mode

Then you are able to choose, which you want to use. The easy mode offers you the basic functions and additional help. In expert mode your creativity has no limits. We recommend also to advanced computer users to start with the easy mode.

Over the menu item you are able to change the operation mode anytime you want.

Create a new design

In the following window you can assign the next . You are able to open a design or creating a new one. Furthermore you can check the status of your order. Click on "Create a new design" and confirm it by clicking on "Next".

After that select the desired product and the format. Confirm your choices in each case with a click on the button "Next".

In the book options you can configure the number of pages, board type and many other options. Confirm your specifications with "Next" to get to the selection of your design mode.

Choose the option "Design book oneself" and the user interface of drudix opens. Here you have the possibility to create your book according to your wishes.

Select the option , if you want to import your images automatically into your book. Click "Next" to proceed.

In the next window you have to choose your page layout. You can enter the book title here and select the desired images. They will be loaded into your book automatically.

Click on "Select image folder" to select the folder on your hard disk, where you have your images you want to use. Naturally you are able to add other images from other folders. Afterwards select the background color of the book pages and the layout of the frames for the left and right pages of your book.

Press the "Next" button and the user interface of Drudix opens. Of course you are further able to design your book according to your wishes.

If you have your book allready as a pdf file and want to have it printed, select the option "Create book from a pdf file". If you want to know how this exactly works, read this:
